It can be a rough road or a smooth road but in the end it's just a road that leads you nowhere perfectly.

Beautiful. I'm in awe.
I sense a little hostility from this which is cool because the emotion feels strong to me. Could be that I may be a bit grumpy at the moment but still...I like this one, Mike! Nice work! :)

interesting. i was working on this in a landscape format and started to apply the reddish-orange color over the yellow, didn't like it. however, my intensity amplified and i just went with it. i then flipped the painting to a portrait format. i liked it and noticed this face looking at me, then the lines were applied.

so, you could say there might have been a bit of hostility during this creation. thanks, Phil - glad you like it, man.
great work
i feel alot of energy coming
from this piece.
awesome, glad you can feel it, and that you dig it. thanks.

I think it's always cool when a creation isn't going the way it's planned and all of a sudden you see it differently and say "that's cool, let's go with that!". ;)

It's interesting how evocative even hints of lips can be.

With the rest of the expressive machinery of the face absent, those lips might have only uncertainty and fear left to express.

An illustration for Samuel Beckett?

There's always a better poem just out of reach.

Words create situations

The roots of the future run deep

And what I realised was that my entire life I was a victim of my own FEAR. I was FEEDING FEAR WITH FOOD... and finally... I looked in the mirror. Not just IN THE MIRROR. I looked THROUGH the mirror. And in that image
I saw my EGO REFLECTION.
Pretty awesome work for a fictional Chuck Pahlaniuk character :)
